Thames Water-approved solution for shallow water services
Shallow Service, Big Results
Fast, neat, and compliant water service installation without internal disruption.
The Problem
A new water service was required for an existing residential property in the London Borough of Bromley. With a concrete subfloor in place, internal excavation would have been extensive, disruptive and time-consuming.
To minimise disruption and protect existing finishes, the installer needed a solution to install the service externally as a shallow run but approval from Thames Water was required before proceeding.
The Solution
The installer used SHalloduct™ and INSUduct® to route the new water service externally, bringing it into the property via an insulated enclosure.
This approach allowed the project to be completed:
Quickly and neatly: Minimal disruption to the property and internal finishes
Competently: Pipework fully protected and thermally insulated
Compliantly: Approval successfully granted by Thames Water for a shallow service
The combination of these products made the installation straightforward, efficient, and future-ready.
The Result
A fully installed, Thames Water-approved water service, completed without internal excavation or disruption. Homeowners benefited from a professional clean, and safe installation, while the installer delivered the project efficiently and to regulatory standards.
