How Groundbreaker’s LoFlo is supporting Severn Trent Water’s AMP8 ambitions with a reliable, scalable solution designed for long-term efficiency across one of the UK’s largest water networks.
The Problem
As Severn Trent prepared for AMP8 (2025–2030), a key challenge was finding ways to reduce water usage while continuing to deliver safe, reliable services to customers. This meant working with supply chain partners who could provide durable, regulation-compliant products at scale – solutions that were quick to install, long-lasting in operation, and able to support ambitious sustainability targets across one of the UK’s largest water regions.

LoFlo is a compact, regulation-approved device designed to fit easily between a meter and manifold, forming a secure seal with a simple screw-in installation. Available in a range of flow settings, it is engineered to perform consistently regardless of network pressure and has been tested to withstand up to 16 bar. With a lifespan of more than 12 years, LoFlo gives utilities confidence in long-term reliability while offering engineers a quick, tool-free install process.
Severn Trent selected LoFlo through a competitive tender, recognising both its technical performance and Groundbreaker’s ability to deliver at the scale required for AMP8.
