Groundbreaker’s retrofit water metering solution helps park home sites, estates, and NAVs stay compliant with water resale regulations. Using a simple combination of Groundbreaker®, INSUduct®, and LoFlo®, properties can be metered individually, ensuring fair billing and minimal disruption.
The Challenge
Legislation requires that residents connected to private water mains – such as those on park home sites, private housing estates, or networks operated by NAVs – must be billed fairly for the water they use.
While site owners are permitted to add a small administrative charge, overall water billing must not exceed what would be charged by the local water company. However, in many cases, residents aren’t individually metered. Instead, they’re charged a flat-rate share of the total estate water usage, regardless of actual consumption, often leading to unfair costs and disputes.
